It is also important to know what city the person was born in because the sun rises at different times in different cities. My article on Katy Perry<\/a> explains this in more detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In an astrology chart, the Ascendant is often abbreviated AC. It’s opposite, the Descendant, is abbreviated DC. A good way to remember the Ascendant is that it represents the self you present to the world. Its opposite, the Descendant, therefore represents the others you draw into your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The other angle in the chart is the Midheaven, abbreviated MC for the Latin term Medium Coeli<\/a>. Its opposite is the Imum Coeli, abbreviated IC. The Midheaven represents the outer parts of your life, like a career you might be publicly known for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Its opposite, therefore, represents the inner parts of your life, like your home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The circle of the chart is then divided into four quadrants by the intersection of the AC\/DC and MC\/IC axes. These four quadrants in turn are each divided into three houses, for a total of twelve houses in the chart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Each of these twelve houses is then given symbolic associations with different parts of life, which can become very detailed and specific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For now, let\u2019s just look at Kim Kardashian\u2019s chart in terms of how full the different quadrants are. If a quadrant of a chart is very empty or very full, that can give a big-picture look at where there might be an imbalance in the person\u2019s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As shown on Astro-Databank<\/a>, most of the planets in Kim\u2019s chart, as well as her Sun in Libra, are in the top left quadrant, the combination of Self and Outer. This makes a lot of sense for her being a very public personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The one planet Kim has in the top right quadrant, the combination of Other and Outer, is Venus<\/a>. As discussed in my article on her husband Kanye<\/a>, Kim\u2019s Venus fills in the missing end of Kanye\u2019s T-square in mutable signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, Kim has her own T-square in mutable signs: Venus in Virgo, Neptune in Sagittarius, and the Moon in Pisces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The missing end for her is Gemini. Kanye\u2019s Sun in Gemini fills in the missing end of her T-square<\/a> and sits in the seventh house of her chart, which is especially associated with one\u2019s life partner, near her Descendant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There is definitely a strong connection between Kim and Kanye!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Neptune and the Moon are both in the bottom left quadrant of Kim\u2019s chart, the combination of Self and Inner. Neptune is close to the Ascendant, in the first house which is especially associated with personal identity. This in combination with a general lack of activity on the bottom half of the chart is troubling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a best-case scenario, Neptune, as described in my article on Kanye<\/a>, reflects the spiritual reality that we are all one on some higher level. If it falls in the part of your chart where you\u2019re supposed to be figuring out who you are as a separate individual person, though, you might have no idea who you are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The only other thing Kim has on the bottom half of her chart is the Moon in Pisces, close to the IC but on the third house side. Kanye also has the Moon in Pisces, so this would be another way that she and Kanye connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The bottom right quadrant of Kim\u2019s chart, the combination of Other and Inner, is totally empty. Perhaps the relationships that run quietly in most people\u2019s lives, like co-workers and family, simply get played out on the bigger stage of the Self and Outer quadrant of Kim\u2019s chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The symbolic associations for the different planets, Zodiac signs, and houses of the astrological chart are extensive. The Rulership Book<\/em><\/a> by Rex E. Bills provides a thorough index. For instance, it notes that brothers and sisters are associated with the sign of Gemini, the planet Mercury, and the third house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kim\u2019s siblings are of course her co-stars on the reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians<\/em>, so one would expect some of these significations of siblings to be prominent in her chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As discussed above, Gemini is the sign of Kim\u2019s Descendant. The sign on a person\u2019s Descendant can give a clue as to the identity of their significant other, and sometimes a person\u2019s significant other isn\u2019t who you would expect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Possibly the true significant other of Kim\u2019s heart is her siblings, and her first two husbands before Kanye couldn\u2019t compete with that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, let\u2019s look at Mercury in Kim\u2019s chart. Every planet in an astrological chart has both a sign and a house. Think of playing the board game Clue, where the answer is something like Colonel Mustard in the Conservatory with the Candlestick \u2013 you need to come up with a phrase that has three nouns in it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For Kim, she has Mercury in Scorpio in the eleventh house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The eleventh house is in the middle of the Self and Outer quadrant of an astrological chart. Kim indeed lives out her sibling relationships in a very public way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each sign has a house and at least one planet that feels particularly at home there. These relationships are known as rulerships. For someone who has Aries rising, the signs would generally be in the houses they rule Aries, first house; Taurus, second house; Gemini, third house; and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Libra rules the seventh house, which, in most ways of dividing houses, begins at the Descendant, the fullest point of Other energy in a chart. This is where the stereotype of Libra Sun people as obsessed with relationships comes from. In Kim\u2019s case, the stereotype is probably accurate but not just for that reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kim has Sagittarius rising, so, for her, the signs will not be in the houses they rule. This gives her chart an extra layer of symbolism to look at. In Kim\u2019s chart, the eleventh house in Kim\u2019s chart is part of the sign of Libra and part of the sign of Scorpio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There are different ways of dividing up the houses in astrological charts, but, in most of them, the houses do not map exactly onto signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, the eleventh house is ruled by the sign of Aquarius, the eleventh sign counting from Aries. Even though Kim\u2019s eleventh house Mercury is in the sign of Scorpio, the symbolic associations for Aquarius may therefore be worth looking at too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The sign of Aquarius in turn is ruled by the planet Uranus, which can be associated with things that are unusual or shocking. In Kim\u2019s chart, Uranus in Scorpio is in the twelfth house, but it is close enough to her Mercury in Scorpio in the eleventh house to call it a conjunction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A Mercury-Uranus conjunction, along with Mercury in the eleventh house, makes a lot of sense for Kim in that there is<\/em> something unusual going on with her sibling relationships: most people do not have a TV show with their siblings! The Rulership Book<\/em> also notes that Uranus rules television.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, the third house is ruled by Gemini, the third sign counting from Aries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This is why The Rulership Book <\/em>associates both Gemini and the third house with brothers and sisters. Mercury rules both the sign of Gemini and the sign of Virgo, so it shares symbolic associations with both Gemini (and the third house) and Virgo (and the sixth house).<\/p>\n\n\n\n In Kim\u2019s chart, the third house begins in the sign of Aquarius. This continues the vibe of her eleventh house Mercury conjunct Uranus. If something in a person\u2019s astrological chart is a very major issue in their life, usually there won\u2019t just be one indicator of it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Instead, multiple indicators involving signs and houses and aspects between planets will all display that theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kim\u2019s third house also includes part of the sign of Pisces.
