There are eight cards that represent fertility more than the others. These cards are:

You can also have a combination of these cards or supporting cards with symbols of happiness, abundance, and creativity. These cards can indicate pregnancy or favorable conditions for pregnancy.

After working with the tarot for years now, there’s something I’ve learned for certain. There’s always more than one way to receive a message. (The best suggestion I’ve heard is to record your readings so that you can look back on them and see if there are any patterns that emerge.)

Many times there are multiple cards that can carry the same message, such as fertility. Depending on the question and events surrounding it you can get a combination of cards that mean fertility instead of just one card.

The tarot cards can show when would be an opportune time for you to conceive. They can let you know when you may be entering a period of life in which you will conceive so that you can plan accordingly.

They can also give you a heads up if there may be complications surrounding your fertility and several other variants.

Before we dive into this topic, I wanted to point out the Related Articles section at the bottom of this post. The Major Arcana are the twenty-two trump or “major” cards of the tarot. They are usually numbered from zero to twenty-one. They are your powerhouses, your big players.

I worte another article that goes into detail about the Major Arcana, you can read that here: How to use the Major Arcana Tarot cards, a complete guide

The cards below are Major Arcana.

The Empress is the classic card for motherhood. Lovely as she sits on her throne with grace and wisdom, she represents creativity, abundance, and Mother Earth.

Having her show up is usually pretty positive in response to questions about fertility. She may also indicate a strong desire in the questionnaire to have a child and start a family.

I’ve written an article that goes into much more detail about the Empress Tarot card here: The Empress Tarot Card, A Complete Guide!

The Sun is a cheerful indicator that a baby may be on the way. The Sun symbolizes joy, fruitfulness, and abundance. It is the representation of the universe coming together and helping you on your path, helping you to make something greater.

The Sun could also mean a child with an adventurous soul. This child is innocent, full of laughter and energy. The proverbial bundle of joy for a family.

The Star has also been known to represent fertility. It is usually represented by a naked woman kneeling on the ground. She holds two vessels in her hands, each vessel is full of water.

She bears one in each hand, representing our conscious and unconscious mind. She pours one vessel out onto the ground to nourish the earth.

This is done to continue the cycle of fertility, which is usually depicted by lush plant life. The Star can indicate a pregnancy. She can also indicate that the people in question are spiritually ready for parenthood.

The Moon, the great orb in the sky would bring thoughts of pregnancy especially when she is round and full, but that’s not always the case. The Moon in combination with any of the fertility cards already mentioned is a good sign of pregnancy.

Don’t be fooled though, the great lady can be a bit tricky in fertility readings. The Moon holds illusions and she may indicate up coming problems.

Read more about the Moon Tarot card in this Complete Guide!
